If you're looking for entertainmentr, the Gracery Shinjuku doesn't disappoint. We were there for nine days and they changed the Godzilla diorama in the lobby (with six-foot tall Godzilla models). It's at the edge of Kabukicho so there's always something to do. They even had Godzilla goods to buy and one day they had a gentleman demonstration hanga printing in the lobby (I wish they would've announced that; I just stumbled across it.) The rooms are clean and very nice (with a caveat down below). The staff was great and often spoke more English than Japanese.
